Simeon Slavins Willis was the youngest child of Abigail Slavens and John H. Willis.

John H. Willis was born July 13, 1836 near Oak Hill, Jackson County, Ohio. He was a pioneer in the iron Furnace industry.

Abigail Slavens was born 22 May 1841. She was the daughter of James Slavins b 1798 in VA and Elizabeth Snedegar.
